Dr. Randy Heller

Dr. Heller has been a counselor in the district for more than 20 years and he has had the privilege of working with students at the high school for over a decade. He earned his undergraduate degree in Psychology through Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education and later earned his Master's Degree in Counseling.

Having worked with generations of students and families over the past two decades has reinforced Dr. Heller's belief that every student's journey is unique. His counseling philosophy is centered on building meaningful relationships, providing a supportive and nonjudgmental environment, and helping students recognize their strengths and potential. He strives to create an environment where students feel heard, respected, and comfortable asking for help. At the same time, Dr. Heller believe one of the greatest ways we support students is by encouraging personal responsibility, resilience, and problem-solving rather than removing every obstacle. My goal is to help students develop the confidence and skills to navigate challenges independently and prepare for what comes next.

One of the most rewarding parts of being a high school counselor is helping students explore the many opportunities available after graduation. Through years of meeting with college representatives, visiting campuses, and drawing from both professional experience and firsthand perspectives, Dr. Heller enjoys helping students and families make informed decisions about the college and career planning process.

Outside of school, Dr. Heller enjoys following sports, spending time with animals, and challenging myself with strategy and word games such as chess, Wordle, Connections, Strands, and Sudoku.
