Mr. Erik Kaplansky

Mr. Kaplansky, more commonly referred to as Mr. K, by students, has been a school counselor at EBHS since 2012.  He graduated from Monmouth University with a Bachelor's Degree in History and Master's in Educational Counseling. Mr. K utilizes a cognitive behavioral approach, focusing on getting to know students to help them determine solutions.

He enjoys helping students create their academic roadmap and figuring out their post high school plans, whether that be a four-year or two-year college, trade school, military, or going straight to employment after graduating. In his free time, Mr. K is an avid NY Rangers, Chelsea Football Club, and NY Giants fan. He also enjoys going to concerts, but most of his time is spent with his family, trying to keep up with his very energetic young son.
